The Human Library™ is designed to build a positive framework for conversations that can challenge stereotypes and prejudices through dialogue.

It is a place where real people are on loan to readers. A place where difficult questions are expected, appreciated and answered.

ETCH Empathy and Youth Corps Singapore co-present a session for the unheard voices in our society. Join us for a session where you meet your biases and break stereotypes through heartfelt conversations.

All our books have different  backgrounds and different stories to share. From Para-Athletes to Single Mum, they all have a story to share and their own stereotypes to break.

Human Library™ gives people opportunities to share their stories with others in their community by becoming human “books”. It builds a positive framework for conversations that can challenge stereotypes and prejudices through dialogue. Within the human library, difficult questions are expected, appreciated and answered. Etch Empathy is a non profit social enterprise in Singapore that believes in cultivating empathy for poverty eradication.

Their programmes are designed by certified EQ Trainer, structured with cultivating empathy in mind. By allowing participants to step in the shoes of target communities, our simulations help people establish a raw connection with the issues a vulnerable individual struggle with, challenge prejudices and discover commonalities.
